Xiaomi might be getting ready to launch a new phone – the Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 in China. Globally, it could be released as the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro. Exciting leaks are already giving us a sneak peek!
One trusted tipster, Digital Chat Station, shared key details on Weibo. According to him, the phone might be one of the first to use MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8500 chip. This chip isn’t official yet, but it’s expected to give top-level performance like the Dimensity 8400.
The phone could have a metal frame and a curved body, giving it a premium feel. The back may have a textured design with a clean and simple camera layout. Its size and screen will likely be average – not too big or small.
One of the most exciting upgrades is the battery. The last model, Xiaomi Poco X7 Pro, had a 6000mAh battery. But this new one might go even bigger – up to 7000mAh or more, using SiC battery tech. That means longer battery life!
While there’s no official word on charging speed, it will likely stay around 90W fast charging, just like the previous model.
There’s also news about the display. Instead of a flat screen, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro might come with a curved R-angle AMOLED screen. It will have a 1.5K resolution (about 1220 x 2712) and use LTPS technology, which saves more power.
We don’t know much about the camera yet, but more leaks are expected soon. If all this is true, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro could be a powerful and stylish mid-range phone.
Stay tuned – more updates are coming!
