Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 & Redmi Note 50 Pro+ May Get Satellite Messaging!

Satellite communication has mostly been a feature for top-tier flagship phones—until now. Xiaomi is changing the game!

According to new leaks, the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Flip 3 will support satellite messaging. This is a big deal because it’s Xiaomi’s first clamshell foldable to get this feature. But wait—it’s not coming alone.

Redmi Note 50 Pro+ SatCom Edition Also in the Works

Another phone rumored to join the satellite club is the Redmi Note 50 Pro+ (Satellite Edition). This model is said to support Beidou satellite messaging, which means you can send messages even without mobile network.

More Xiaomi Phones May Join

A popular tipster on Weibo, “Experience More,” shared that multiple Xiaomi phones could get satellite support. One device with the code “25104RADAC” recently got radio approval and was later revealed to be the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Satellite Edition.

Now, Xiaomi’s foldable phone, codenamed “Pixiu,” is also rumored to come with built-in satellite antennas.

Not All Versions Will Have It

Don’t get too excited just yet—not every version of these phones will include satellite features. Tipster Digital Chat Station says only specific models will support it.

  • For example, only the “2603APX0AC” model of the Mix Flip 3 is expected to have satellite support.

  • The regular version, “2603EPX2DC,” may not include it.

  • Same goes for the Redmi Note 50 Pro+—only the Satellite Edition will support messaging without a network.

There may also be a price difference between these versions, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Availability May Be Limited

Even if your phone supports satellite messaging, the feature may not work in all countries. Local regulations and satellite coverage might limit where it’s available.

Still, it’s exciting to see Xiaomi bring satellite tech to more affordable phones. Stay tuned—we’ll keep you updated with more leaks and news before the official launch!
