A fresh leak from China hints that the upcoming Xiaomi 16 could be the first phone ever to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. This powerful chip is expected to launch in September, and Xiaomi wants to beat other brands to it.
Usually, Xiaomi launches its main phones in October, but this year, it may come a month early. If true, the Xiaomi 16 could be the first device with this next-gen processor.
There’s more good news. Reports say the phone will have a huge 6800mAh battery. That’s massive—especially for a base model! The screen might stay at 6.36 inches, but some rumors suggest it could get a bit bigger.
To support that big battery, Xiaomi might add 100W fast charging. That means you’ll be able to juice up the phone super fast!
As for the camera, we’re expecting a 50MP main sensor, with an ultrawide and a telephoto lens beside it. Just like any good flagship phone, it should have a top-notch screen and a powerful camera setup.
