Samsung Galaxy A35 5G Review

Samsung has just introduced new phones in their Galaxy A series. These new phones are the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. These phones are launched in Pakistan after a long wait. Before that company had launched the Galaxy S24. The Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 are better versions of the older phones A34 and A54. They look nicer, work faster, and have better cameras. Today, we will look closely at the Galaxy A35.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy A35 look is very similar to the Galaxy A34. There are a few upgrades that are meant to attract new users or people who have much older Samsung phones. The screen size of the Galaxy A35 is the same as Galaxy A34. It is a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Water and Dust Resistance

The Samsung Galaxy A35 5G comes with Gorilla Glass Victus. This Glass not only offers protection against accidental falls but also ensures durability against water and dust. This level of protection allows users to have peace of mind while engaging in different activities.

Camera

The cameras on the Galaxy A35 are also similar to the Galaxy A34. It has a high-resolution main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 13MP selfie camera. The main difference between A34 and A35 is the primary camera. Now A35 is attached with a 50MP OIS camera, upgraded from the 48MP camera on the A34.

The main camera is good at capturing real faces. Skin texture and tone look very natural. The only issue found while testing the camera is that the autofocus can sometimes miss the subject. To avoid this, it’s best to take a few extra shots.

Performance

The Galaxy A35 runs on Samsung’s One UI 6.1 or the latest Android 14. This is the latest version of One UI. The phone uses the Samsung Exynos 1380 chip, which was also used in Galaxy A54, Galaxy F54, and Galaxy M54.

The chip performance in these phones is great. So, it’s not a bad chip. Other features include 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. The GPU is a 950 MHz Mali-G68 MP5 unit. However, don’t expect super high performance in this specification.

 Inside Box

The Galaxy A35 comes with a lightweight cardboard box. Inside the box, you will find the phone and a basic USB Type-C cable. The Galaxy A35 supports 25W fast wired charging. There is no charger included in the box. If you don’t have a compatible power adapter, you will need to buy one separately.

Alternative Phone

It’s not difficult to find another good phone like the Galaxy A35. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a good option. The price of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and Samsung A35 is almost the same. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage. It’s faster because it uses UFS 3.1 storage. The Redmi has a powerful chip called MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, which performs much better than the chip Exynos1380 (5nm) in the Samsung. The Redmi also has similar quality and extra features like strong glass on the front and protection against water. Another good thing is that it can charge very fast.
