Another Leak Shows Big Design Changes Coming to Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

Exciting news is coming for Samsung fans! The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting a fresh new look. Rumors suggest it will feature a unified camera island, similar to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The phone is also expected to have softer, more rounded corners, making it more comfortable to hold.

But not everything is changing for the better.

No Battery Upgrade This Time

Earlier reports hinted at a 10% battery boost, raising hopes for a bigger 5500mAh battery. Sadly, that won’t happen. A new listing on China’s Quality Certification (CQC) database confirms the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will stick with the same 4855mAh cell—just like the last five Ultra models.

Samsung will likely advertise it as a 5000mAh typical battery, but it’s still disappointing for users expecting a real upgrade.

Other Brands Are Moving Ahead

While Chinese phone makers are switching to powerful 7000mAh Silicon-Carbon (Si/C) batteries, Samsung continues to use old Li-ion tech. Even newer brands like Nothing have started using Si/C batteries. It’s seen as the future, but Samsung doesn’t seem ready to make the jump yet.

Possible Charging Speed Boost

There is one silver lining! Samsung might increase charging speeds to 60W, a nice jump from the current 45W limit on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, this is still just a rumor—we’re waiting on official confirmation.

Stay Tuned

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be an exciting phone in terms of design, but battery lovers might be left wanting more. Keep an eye out for more updates as new certifications and leaks come in!
